Opportunities.
Last two weeks I spent a lot of time with the computer doing researches how to sell art and looking for many interesting sites. And, finally, I decide to share what I found. If somebody knows something else - share with me too! 1. Print account on http://www.deviantart.com/ - there are so much good artists, I don't see really a chance that somebody will even find my works here! So - in the end of the year it will be more clear what is really working.
2. http://www.art.com/ - good site for artists to sell originals , prints, posters. For free you have a chance to put there up to 16 works only for poster programm. This fall is coming - free members will be able to put up to 50 works. If more - you have to pay $50 per year - and you will be included for print programm. You will have 10% only. The questions is - how much you need to sell to cover just your expences for this site? I am not in a hurry to pay now. Good thing - there is statistic - how many people are looking on your works, etc. You can also partisipate in competitions with good prices.
3. http://www.printpop.com - very mysterious site. You are free member, you can put as much as you want images there, but you never know what is going on, are you selling something ar not, or at least how many people are looking on your works. Result is surprise.
4. http://www.finerworks.com/ - good site to make portofolio, free website, sell giclee prints. Membership is free. Site doesn't sell prints and do not send to you % - buyer go to site, see your pictures there, pay direct to you your price - then you pay to site to make print and site send it to buyer. I like the idea.
5. http://zazzle.com/ - free membership, opportunity to create posters, mugs, T-shirts, etc for public and personal products for yourself and receive 10%.
6. http://www.artwanted.com/ - good site, but free members can upload only up to 3 works per month. FOR unlimited uploading and PRINT PROGRAMM YOU NEED UPGRADE -$37 PER YEAR. Good thing - you have there complite statistic and raiting system.
7. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ - wonderful site with free membership to sell originals, with many forums, art progects, reference library. I received there so much constructive critiques in the critique forum - good thing that there can be not only public but also advanced professors of art.
8. http://freewebs.com/ - good site to have free website with all tools.
9. http://www.spreadshirt.com/ - you can sell custom T-shirts, etc.
10. http://www.artmorgue.com/ - very good reference library for artists.
11. http://www.fanartreview.com/ - good site but is not free even to have portofolio.
12. http://www.cafepress.com/ - the same as zazzle, only they ask SSN - I don't like this! I am not ready put this to internet. If I find something else - I will put more. I am interested about everything. Now - share with me - what do you know?

Painting horses in acrylic.

Here is one of two my painting in acrylic of subject matter: "Black Beauty".
Acrylic paints on canvas panel 14"x18",
finished in spring 2006,
Giklee prints an posters are available:

http://www.zazzle.com/herrerojulia
Original is available too, visit my website: http://www.freewebs.com/herrerojulia/
I used here golden metallic paint as an experiment. I wanted to make painting look interesting in different light : with shining light coming behind when light falls straight to the picture, and just naturally looking when room is dark. So, I mixed many colors with golden and I think, result is very good.
